COMMUNITY FORUM #4

April 14, 2026

Community Forum #4 was held on April 14, 2026.

Superintendent Brian O’Connell and consultants form Harriman reviewed the work completed on the project so far, including a review of the Space Considerations, Educational Considerations, Social Considerations, Special Education Considerations, Staffing Considerations, and Facility Considerations that have informed the options to date.

The selected option—a renovation/addition project for Griffin Memorial School—was reviewed with attendees, including floor plan diagrams and a proposed scope of work. Followed by a review of all the community feedback received to date, that has helped to inform the project.

A project timeline is included at the end of the presentation to allow the community to follow along and stay engaged.

A video recording of the meeting is available via the link, as well as a PDF of the slide deck.

What is the GRIFFIN MEMORIAL SCHOOL Project?

A solution to address the physical deficiencies, both operational and educational, of the current elementary school that balances the educational and financial needs of the Litchfield community.
